Birmingham Botanical Gardens Website
Handforth Gardening Society will be visiting The Birmingham Botanical Gardens and Glasshouses, on Saturday May 15th.
Cost: £18 for concessions, £20 for non-concessions. The coach will leave Handforth Paddock Shopping Centre at 9.15am.
We will depart Birmingham at 3.30pm.
The Birmingham Botanical Gardens were opened in 1832. There are 15 acres of Ornamental Gardens, Alpine Yard, Herbaceous Border, Formal Terrace, Herb and Cottage Garden. In the Glasshouses they also have a Tropical house, Sub-tropical house, Mediterranean House and an Arid . They also have the National Collection of Bonsai. There are also shops, and art gallery and you can also obtain refreshments from The Pavilion.
